Distribution, Warehousing & Storage Operations

                     NVQ LEVEL 2                     

To achieve the qualification, you must complete eight units in total. This must be made up of three mandatory units and five optional units.

The optional units will be issued by your assessment center when you have agreed with your assessor which are most appropriate units for you.

SYLLABUS

MANDATORY UNITS

1. E6   - Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

2. E12 - Contribute to keeping the workplace secure.

3. E13 - Work effectively in own organisation.

OPTIONAL UNITS

GROUP ONE 

STOCK STORAGE AND ORDER PROCESSING

1. B3  - Receive goods and materials into storage.

2. B5  - Put goods and materials into storage.

3. B6  - Maintain the quality of goods in storage.

4. B7  - Dispatch goods and materials.

5. B9  - Assemble bulk orders for distribution.

6. B10 - Pick stock and make up orders.

7. B11 - Process orders for goods.

8. B12 - Process returned goods and materials.

9. B14 - Process donated goods for resale or recycling.

GROUP TWO

PROMOTING PRODUCTS TO CUSTOMERS

1. C3  - Help customers to choose products.

2. C5  - Provide information and advice to customers

GROUP THREE

CUSTOMER SERVICES

1. D1  - Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation.

GROUP FOUR

ORGANISATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS

1. E7   - Maintain the safety of high risk goods and materials.

2. E9   - Maintain hygiene standards in handling and storing food products.

3. E10 - Operate specialised plant and machinery to performance requirements.

4. E11 - Lift, transfer and position loads.
